Don’t let the Word off your sight

TO maintain your deliverance you must stay in the word.

The only way to keep your way pure is to live according to what  God says in His word.

Psalms 119:9-11 tells us,

“How can a young person stay on the path of purity? By living according to your word. I seek you with all my heart do not let me stray from your commands.

I have hidden your word in my heart that I might not sin against you.”

And, Psalms 119:105 says ,“Your word is a lamp unto my feet, alight on my path.”

When you are in darkness concerning any area of your life, turn to scripture.

God’s word is your light that lights up the path showing you where to go.

God has given us His Holy Spirit and His word to live in us, telling us where to go.

Isaiah 30:21 “ Whether you turn to the right or to the left, your ears will hear a voice behind you, saying, this is the way; walk in it.”

The Holy Spirit will never ask you to do anything which is not of God.

Hearing it on Sunday

You need to know what God is saying in his word, you will know what is not in line with it.

Not only by hearing it on Sunday or at meetings but by studying and meditating on it.

Deuteronomy 6: 6-8

“These commandments that I give you today are to be on your hearts. Impress them on your children.

Talk about them when you sit at home and when you walk along the road, when you lie down and when you get up.

Tie them as symbols on your hands and bind them on your foreheads. Write them on the door frames of your houses and on your gates.”

Secret walk

Don’t let it out of your sight.

Put it somewhere, on something to remind you of the word of God, tie it on you wrist to access it all the time.

At least keep the word in a visible place where you can see, read and meditate on it day and night.

Talk about scripture with your children, your friends, tell them about what it says.

Meditate on the word as you walk.

To live victoriously you must have a secret walk with the word of God.

As you read a passage, have a conversation with it.

Ask yourself-  what is the passage teaching me about God, how does it want me to change my life, what is it encouraging me to continue doing or to stop doing?
