Invisible barriers stop you from ruling

MANY believers are blocked by invisible barriers despite the abundant life the Bible promises.

And they have a standing battle with the devil whatever happens in their lives!

Come rain or shine, they pick up their weapons and charge at Satan-even if it is God they need to be dealing with and are left living opposite of what the bible says, that we will be victors.

When the world looks at us, they do not see the abundant life that the Bible promises.

Our children get sick the same way their children get sick, our houses are locked up for rent arrears the same way theirs are, their children are sent away from school for fees or indiscipline, the same way ours are, we get sick the same way they do! We are in debt the same way they are and most of the time they seem to do better than us.

And so, they look at us and wonder what kind of God we are serving!

As believers, our lives should reflect power, dominion, glory and authority given to us through Jesus Christ to the extent our unsaved neighbours would get jealous and run to seek to serve our God!

Fulfil our purpose

Jesus saved us and left us on earth to live victoriously and to  fulfil our purposes.

Unfortunately, as correctly said, graveyards are full of Christians who died without fulfilling their purposes.

King David “rested with his fathers” after he had fulfilled his purpose.

Acts 13:36, “Now when David had served God’s purpose in his own generation, he fell asleep; he was buried with his ancestors and his body decayed.

Moses, who was very close to God, however, did not fulfil his purpose.

God showed him a lot of favour to lead the Israelites to Canaan, but he had an invisible barrier.

Deuteronomy 34: 4 “The Lord said to him: This is the land I promised on oath to Abraham, Isaac and Jacob, when I said, I will give it to your descendants. I have let you see it with your eyes, but you will not cross over into it.”

Moses died without taking the children of Israel to the Promised Land. He had a spirit of anger, a point of weakness that was a curse in his life.

If you have an invisible barrier, you cannot fulfil your purpose because it is a curse.

Moses had a curse of anger which came through his bloodline. Genesis 49: 7 “Cursed be their anger, so fierce, and their fury, so cruel! I will scatter them in Jacob and disperse them in Israel.

Kingdom of Priests

We have been made a kingdom of priests to serve God and reign on earth. Revelation 5:10. “You have made them to be a kingdom and priests to serve our God, and they will reign on the earth. ”

We are to posses, exercise, strength, power and authority as we live victoriously because of what Christ has overcome for us through his work on the cross.

Kings are supposed to make decrees and orders, but do we reign in our office as kings and priests?

Do we possess our office, in our homes-is it want we want that happens there?

Job 22:28 “You will decide on a matter, and it will be established for you, and light will shine on your ways.”

We are Christ’s ambassadors to manifest His Kingdom on earth.

He wants His will manifested through us. Mathew 6:10, “your kingdom come, your will be done, on earth as it is in heaven.

We are great in the kingdom!

Solomon asked God for wisdom.1 Kings 3:12. “I will do what you have asked. I will give you a wise and discerning heart, so that there will never have been anyone like you, nor will there ever be.

There is only one person today greater than Solomon, Jesus Christ, and He lives in us.

Mathew 12:42. “The Queen of the South will rise at the judgment with this generation and condemn it; for she came from the ends of the earth to listen to Solomon’s wisdom, and now something greater than Solomon is here.”

Colossians 2:10. “And you have been filled in Him who is the head of all rule and authority.”

Now that we are greater than Solomon, we have more wisdom because the greater one lives in us!

Unfortunately, many Christians do not know who we are, we don’t know what we possess.

Blindman resting against a tree

Even creation is waiting for us to start ruling and manifesting as sons of God. Romans 8:19 “For creation waits with eager longing for the revealing of the sons of God.”

Creation is shocked at us when a Christians passes by a blindman resting against a tree and the tree wonders when this Christian is going to command the blindman’s eyes to open!

We have disappointed creation.

Luke 4:18. Jesus took the scroll and opened it, He has handed us the button to continue to do “even much more”-as we exercise His will on earth. Creation is waiting.

“The Spirit of the Lord is on me, because he has anointed me to proclaim good news to the poor. He has sent me to proclaim freedom for the prisoners and recovery of sight for the blind, to set the oppressed free “Jesus took the scroll and opened it. “

If this is the case, then why don’t we see the manifestation?

One of the invisible barriers that stops us from manifesting is not knowing who we are.

Many Christians today are sad, depressed, struggling, disillusioned, worried, hopeless, dying young and even divorcing and generally, not “accomplishing their God given purposes” that we were created to fulfil.

Proverbs 26:2 tells us that there is always a reason why things happen the way they do. “Like a fluttering sparrow or a darting swallow, an undeserved curse does not come to rest.

Christians in hiding

When the the angel of the Lord found Gideon in hiding. Judges : 11-13.

The angel of the Lord came and sat down under the oak in Ophrah that belonged to Joash the Abiezrite, where his son Gideon was threshing wheat in a winepress to keep it from the Midianites.

When the angel of the Lord appeared to Gideon, he said, “The Lord is with you, mighty warrior.”

“Pardon me, my lord,” Gideon replied, “but if the Lord is with us, why has all this happened to us?

Where are all his wonders that our ancestors told us about when they said, ‘Did not the Lord bring us up out of Egypt?’

But now the Lord has abandoned us and given us into the hand of Midian.”

Today Christians are in hiding.

The Midianites so impoverished the Israelites that Gideon was hiding in the winepress to thresh wheat and “keep it from the Midianites.

He wondered why the Lord had abandoned them.

According to Judges 6:1-2,  “The Israelites did evil in the eyes of the Lord, and for seven years he gave them into the hands of the Midianites.

Because the power of Midian was so oppressive, the Israelites prepared shelters for themselves in mountain clefts, caves and strongholds.”

Gideon did not know it was because of the sin of Idolatry.

His father worshipped another god- he raised an Asherah pole in worship of  the pagan god, Baal.

The moment you become saved you are an altar-the presence of God is in you.

God instructed Gideon to tear down his fathers altar before he could become victorious and be effective in the ministry.

Judges 6: 25, “That same night The Lord said to him, Take the second bull from your father’s herd, the one seven years old. Tear down your fathers alter to Baal and cut down the Asherah pole beside it.

To experience victory, first deal with what your forefather’s did.

Many times we don’t live victoriously because of something in the blood-line.

Like a child born out of wedlock, we suffer for a sin which we were not directly involved in. Many of  us come from cursed families and communities.

Lamentation 5:7. “Our ancestors sinned and are no more, and we bear their punishment.

Invisible barriers

What kind of altars did our forefathers build?

If your grand father was a rainmaker, or had a small grass thatched hut where people came to consult him and he gave them black powder portions then they  brought a curse.

The punishment we bear is the curse. They become invisible barriers in our way of progress,

Elizabeth had an invisible barrier.

Luke 1:5-7 In the time of Herod king of Judea there was a priest named Zechariah, who belonged to the priestly division of Abijah; his wife Elizabeth was also a descendant of Aaron.

Both of them were righteous in the sight of God, observing all the Lord’s commands and decrees blamelessly.  But they were childless because Elizabeth was not able to conceive, and they were both very old.

Her righteousness would not make the curse spare her. She was barren because of her bloodline connection with Aaron who worshipped an idol.

Exodus 31: 1. “When the people saw that Moses was so long in coming down from the mountain, they gathered around Aaron and said, “Come, make us gods who will go before us. As for this fellow Moses who brought us up out of Egypt, we don’t know what has happened to him.”

The decree on generational curses as punishment for disobedience is in Deuteronomy 28:45-46. “All these curses will come on you.

They will pursue you and overtake you until you are destroyed, because you did not obey the LORD your God and observe the commands and decrees he gave you. They will be a sign and a wonder to you and your descendants forever.”

When Aaron worshipped another god, it cost him and his generation- he activated curses (invisible barriers) to follow his children and descendants.

His sons, Nadab and Abihu were the first casualties . They died in a fire.

Leviticus 10:1-2. “Aaron’s sons Nadab and Abihu took their censers, put fire in them and added incense; and they offered unauthorized fire before the Lord, contrary to his command.

So fire came out from the presence of the Lord and consumed them, and they died before the Lord.

Who are you a descendant of?

One way the enemy defeats us is through a curse that has not been broken.

Curses stand as invisible barriers to prevent us from reigning on this earth as manifested children of God.

Things happening in our lives today can be because of something someone else did.

They present themselves as stumbling blocks or invisible barriers that crop up and impede the way to victory.

It could be because of what your great grand father did, worshiping another god, that is affecting his generation.

Exodus 20:3-5. “You shall have no other gods before me. You shall not make for yourself a carved image, or any likeness of anything that is in heaven above, or that is in the earth beneath, or that is in the water under the earth.

You shall not bow down to them or serve them, for I the Lord your God am a jealous God, visiting the iniquity of the fathers on the children to the third and the fourth generation of those who hate me.”

The Lord sends curses

The Lord is the one who sends curses.

Deuteronomy 28:20, “The LORD will send on you curses, confusion and rebuke in everything you put your hand to, until you are destroyed and come to sudden ruin because of the evil you have done in forsaking him.

If you are going to solve a problem which is linked to a curse by attacking the devil through prayer and fasting,  circumstances will not change.

It is because the problem did not originate with you and it may look as if God is not answering prayer concerning that one area where you are constantly apologising to Him about.

God had warned His people of the curses that would befall them for disobedience.

Deuteronomy 30:19 “I call on heaven and earth to witness against you today, that I have set before you life and death, blessing and curse. Therefore choose life, that you and your offspring may live.”

When there is a curse it will not respond to prayer.

Freedom from curses, along with all other benefits of the kingdom are the right of inheritance of those who believe in Jesus and are co- heirs in the kingdom of God.

The Bible is clear that the blessings of the Kingdom are for the people of the kingdom.

Repentance is key

The first giveaway of the presence of a stubborn curse is when circumstances remain unchanged by prayer.

Again, prayer does not break the curse, only repentance does, followed by an oral proclamation of  breaking the curse in the name of Jesus Christ.

Examples of  curses that may run in bloodline and present themselves as invisible barriers include barrenness, incurable illnesses, early death, addictions, miscarriages, poverty, unemployment that could run in a family despite the children being highly educated and qualified.

Repentance is key in breaking a curse.

It is the prerequisite for breaking of all curses. Repentance on behalf of others and oneself.

Curses cannot be broken until all sins of all ancestors and predecessors from both sides of the bloodline are confessed back to the families’ origins, asking with repentance for forgiveness for all their sins and specifically for the sin(s) that brought the curse in the family line.

Speak repentance for any people these ancestors and predecessors may have hurt and ask the Lord for forgiveness.

Every Christian has the authority to break curses.

You can do it yourself or you may seek help from a trained  minister of  deliverance.

One of the benefits of being a Christian is the power in the blood of Jesus to break all curses are remove all invisible barriers that may put you or your family and community in captivity and defeat.
