Breaking Barriers International (BBI) is delighted to announce the ordination of its Men’s Ministry Team Leader, marking a significant milestone in the growth and strengthening of the Body of Christ.
The ordination service, held on August 8, 2025, in Nairobi, Kenya, formally recognized a life of leadership, faithful service, and commitment to guiding men in spiritual growth, discipleship, and community impact.
A New Season for the Men’s Ministry
“This new season is expected to bring renewed vision and focus to the Men’s Ministry, empowering men to live out their faith with integrity and boldness,” said Roy Agoya following his ordination.
Pastor Agoya was commissioned by BBI Chairman Dan ole Shani and Founder Nellie Shani during a powerful ceremony that drew participants from South Korea, the USA, Ethiopia, Malawi, Zambia, Zimbabwe, and Kenya. The event was also televised virtually, allowing international partners and members to witness the milestone.
A Call to Responsibility and Service
Speaking during the ceremony, Pastor Nellie emphasized the importance of equipping believers for their divine assignments.
“This ordination is more than a title—it is a call to responsibility, faithfulness, and service to God’s people. We believe that under this leadership, the Men’s Ministry will continue to thrive and influence families, the church, and society at large,” she said.
Pastor Agoya has also been ordained by Christian Harvest Church, further affirming his spiritual leadership and calling.
Biblical Foundation for Leadership
The ordination drew inspiration from Paul the Apostle’s teaching in 1 Timothy 3:1–7, which outlines the qualities of overseers and church leaders—integrity, self-control, faithfulness, and sound doctrine.
The ceremony also echoed the encouragement found in the Book of Joshua:
“Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged, for the Lord your God will be with you wherever you go.” — Joshua 1:9
“These Scriptures serve as guiding pillars for Pastor Roy as he steps into his calling,” the chairman noted.
A Leader Prepared for the Moment
Pastor Agoya has faithfully served as a deliverance minister and Men’s Ministry leader within BBI. His mentor, David Odhuno, expressed pride in witnessing his spiritual growth and calling.
“The ordination is a prophetic declaration that BBI is raising leaders who will stand firm in faith, influence communities positively, and contribute to the growth of the Kingdom of God,” Pastor Agoya said.
His leadership comes at a critical time when men are being called to take their rightful place in shaping society, supporting families, and strengthening the Church.
