JESUS said:
“You are in error because you do not know the Scriptures or the power of God.” – Matthew 22:29
IF error begins with not knowing Scripture, then restoration begins with knowing it.
Men, this is not about emotion. It is not about hype. It is about foundation. If we are to lead our families, influence culture, and raise children who remain grounded in truth, we must become men of the Word.
This is your Seven-Day Man of the Word Challenge.
No excuses. No passivity. No spiritual laziness.
Seven days. Intentional focus. Scripture first.
Day One: Identity Before Activity
Read: Psalm 1
A godly man delights in the law of the Lord. Before you lead others, you must be rooted yourself. A tree planted by streams of water does not panic in drought.
Action Step:
Read Psalm one aloud. Ask yourself honestly: Am I planted in the Word, or do I only visit it occasionally?
Declaration:
I am planted in the Word of God. I will not wither.
Day Two: Responsibility of Fathers
Read: Deuteronomy 6:6-9
Scripture commands fathers to impress God’s Word on their children daily.
Action Step:
Share one verse with your children today. If you are not a father, share it with a younger man or nephew.
Declaration:
My home will be shaped by Scripture.
Day Three: Error Begins with Ignorance
Read: Matthew 22:29
Men destroy what they do not understand. Ignorance of Scripture produces weak leadership.
Action Step:
Identify one area of your life where you have been operating without biblical knowledge. Commit to studying what the Word says about it.
Declaration:
I refuse to live in error. I will know the Scriptures.
Day Four: Discipline and Character
Read: Proverbs 4
A man of the Word guards his heart. Culture competes for your mind daily.
Action Step:
Remove one distraction that consistently pulls you away from Scripture—whether it is excessive screen time, unfiltered media, or unproductive habits.
Declaration:
I guard my heart, for everything I do flows from it.
Day Five: Leadership Through Example
Read: 1 Corinthians 11;1
“Follow my example, as I follow the example of Christ.”
Children imitate what they see more than what they hear.
Action Step:
Pray openly in front of your family. Let them see you reading Scripture.
Declaration:
I lead by example, not by instruction alone.
Day Six: Courage in a Dark Culture
Read: Joshua 1:8-9
God commanded Joshua to meditate on the Book of the Law day and night. Courage comes from knowing what God has said.
Action Step:
Stand for biblical truth in one conversation this week, respectfully but firmly.
Declaration:
I am strong and courageous because I meditate on God’s Word.
Day Seven: Multiplication
Read: 2 Timothy 2:2
What you learn must be passed on.
Action Step:
Mentor one man. Invite him into this challenge. Discuss what you have learned.
Declaration:
I am not just a receiver of truth—I am a transmitter.
Why This Matters
The light of biblical truth does not pierce darkness automatically. It shines through vessels. If men do not know Scripture, culture will shape the next generation.
If fathers are passive, children will look elsewhere for models.
If men are biblically illiterate, society will be morally confused.
The issue is not that the Word has lost power.
The issue is whether men are carrying it.
Final Charge to Men
This is not a one-week emotional event. This is the beginning of a lifestyle.
Be the man who knows Scripture. Be the father who teaches it. Be the leader who lives it.
Darkness is not removed by complaint. It is removed by light.
And light shines brightest through a man who knows the Word.
If you are ready to commit, write this down and keep it visible:
“I will not live in error. I will know the Scriptures.”
