BBI hosts powerful worship afternoon

THE BBI family gathered on November 15 2025 for a powerful worship afternoon that left participants refreshed and recharged attesting to the irreplaceable value of Christian fellowship.

Hebrews 10:25 says, “Let us not give up meeting together, as some are in the habit of doing, but encouraging one another—and all the more as you see the Day approaching.”

This is a command to believers not to forsake meeting together for worship and fellowship, but to encourage one another in love and good deeds. Its urgency is amplified by the fact that the Day of the Lord is fast approaching.

The meeting, which drew believers from different assemblies, was marked by heartfelt worship, fervent prayers, testimonies and a renewed commitment to stand together as the Body of Christ.

Deep reflection

The BBI worship team led by Agnes Odero set the tone by ushering Gods presence with songs  that made the fellowship a time of reverence and kingdom celebration.

During the worship afternoon many had a chance to reflect deeply on the goodness of God.

Songs of surrender mingled with songs of victory, created a heavy spiritual presence in the house. The event was held at the Nairobi Baptist church’s old assembly hall.

Participants described the afternoon as both uplifting and transformative. “I enjoyed the fellowship. It was uplifting, I am not leaving here as I came” said one attendee.

There was a deep sense of connection that was experienced among the brethren. Others echoed the same sentiment, noting that the gathering created space for healing, encouragement and spiritual clarity.

“I enjoyed praise and worship, especially the oldies…I enjoyed the fellowship, it was beautiful , impactful afternoon,” said one of the participants.

Fellowship not optional

A major highlight of the worship afternoon was the strong reminder that fellowship is not optional. This was the second worship afternoon that enabled BBI members to  meet physically since going virtual late last year.

The worship afternoon witnessed powerful testimonies of deliverance and what God has done in the lives of His people. Believers shared how God had sustained them through difficult seasons and how prayers  and deliverance sessions kept their faith alive.

Peter Ojuka, testified of the goodness of the Lord following the commencement and near completion of a building project at his rural home that had stalled for more than five years after a foundation was excavated.

“We did courtroom intervention and today I stand here to testify that we have seen the hand of God upon our lives, ” he said.

There were several testimonies of healing and thanksgiving that encouraged other members to continue trusting in the Lord, waiting patiently  for breakthroughs and victories in given areas of their lives.

“Testimonies are meant to minister and strengthen one another,” pastor Nellie said.

The wordship afternoon also featured moments of corporate prayer, where intercessors lifted families, the nation, churches and individual destinies before God.

United in prayer

Steph Muchai led the prayers in an atmosphere where the Holy Spirit moved freely with power. Many burdens were lifted off shoulders through the fervent intercessory prayers that were made in groups.

There was a strong sense of unity as those present stood in the gap for one another.

“The prayers gave me clarity, comfort and renewed hope regarding some challenges I had been facing silently,” said one of the attendees.

Another testified how isolation during a tough period had almost derailed their spiritual life, but through connecting with BBI, God restored their passion for prayer and worship.

“Stories like these strengthens the call for the church to remain connected to the source of all things, that is our God,” Irene Mbithe said.

Pastor Nellie expressed gratitude for the turnout and thanked BBI leaders for the service they render at the ministry.

It was noted that such a worship afternoon is not merely about running a programme but a divine appointments meant to refresh the Body, empower believers and to reveal the heart of the Father for His children.

“We have been encouraged to carry the fire of the meeting into our homes, churches and even personal devotion times,” a participant said.

Divine refreshing

To say attendees left the wordship afternoon with a renewed understanding that fellowship is God’s idea and a tool for spiritual growth is an understatement.

“For me it was a time of of encouragement and a shield against discouragement and spiritual weaknesses. In a world filled with pressure, distraction, and isolation, gatherings like the BBI worship afternoon serve as a vital reminder that believers are stronger together,” one of the participants said.

The worship afternoon was more than a program; it was a moment of divine refreshing that reaffirmed the importance of standing side by side in faith.

As the BBI community looks ahead to future gatherings, the message remains clear keep the fire burning, stay connected, and “do not forsake the fellowship of believers.”
