New guidelines for safer, stronger community

Pastor Nellie poses with her new book on prayer altars

BELOVED BBI family, we are grateful for the grace of God that continues to cover and sustain us in our walk together in this journey of faith, prayer and transformation. As a community devoted to living for Jesus Christ, we strive to cultivate a safe, loving and accountable environment where every person is encouraged, supported and uplifted.

Unfortunately, we recently experienced an incident where someone infiltrated our ministry platform and fraudulently extorted money from a few of our members.

While this has deeply grieved our hearts, we are choosing to respond in wisdom, not fear. We are therefore putting in place a few important rules to strengthen our walls, protect our sacred space and ensure the spiritual and emotional safety of every person who calls BBI their spiritual family.

Dawn of a new season as BBI migrates

Let us remember Nehemiah, who led the rebuilding of Jerusalem’s walls with a sword in one hand and a tool in the other. Likewise, we are building spiritual walls of discernment, integrity rotted in love. Here are the new guidelines and policy to help us move forward in unity.

  1. New policy on financial requests

To protect all members and uphold order:

  • No one should  request money directly during our Zoom sessions.
If someone reaches out to you personally with a financial request, please notify our administrator, Pauline, immediately.
  • Every legitimate need will be handled through the right channels.
All financial concerns must be directed to Admin, who will consult with the CEO, Pastor Nellie for assessment and verification.

“Our community thrives when there is clarity, honesty and compassion. We want to help—but we must do so in a way that maintains integrity and safeguards the whole body,” pastor Nellie said.

  1. Zoom meeting guidelines

We are placing the following Zoom policies into effect immediately:

  • Prayer watch access-To join our Zoom prayer watches, one must first attend an online deliverance session. If you have not done this yet, kindly register for the next available session through our administrator, Pauline.
Invite friends to join the deliverance journey, but please do not share Zoom links or ministry materials.
  • Digital security-Our notices, prayer calendars, Zoom links, and ministry information should not be forwarded to outsiders. This is vital in preventing further infiltration by strangers.
  • Name identification; When joining Zoom, display a full and recognizable name—not nicknames, abbreviations, or phone names (e.g., “iPhone,” “Sam G,” etc.). This helps our ministry team identify and protect participants.

  • Corporate prayer culture-Our prayer watches are not spectator events. We encourage everyone to unmute and pray actively—unless you are in a place where you may disturb others. This is a time of cooperate prayer.
When you are called out to pray but are unable to do so verbally, please respond via chat if you are not in a convenient place. Your voice, even typed, matters. As a ministry prayer is key. “We pray together and for one another. We also learn and grow in our prayer life,” pastor Nellie said.
  • Participating in your own breakthrough-From time to time, you may be asked to pray over your own request as others stand in agreement. This builds your spiritual muscle and affirms your ownership in the breakthrough process.
  1. Ministry ethos: A culture of prayer and growth

We are not just a gathering, we are a community of intercessors, deliverance ministers, prayer warriors and teachers. We value unity in the Spirit, respect and honesty in communication, maturity in handling spiritual matters and growth in our prayer lives.

BBI Tala mission: Pastors get delivered

“We are all called to be watchmen, not just for our own lives but also for our brothers and sisters. Let us stay alert, prayerful, and supportive of one another,” the CEO said.

She urged BBI family to rise up as a responsible, Spirit-filled community. “Let us protect what God has entrusted to us, so that this family remains a safe haven for healing, growth and divine encounters,” pastor Nellie said.

The CEO said BBI desires to make sure the ministry platform is a safe place where, “we encourage one another as children of the Most High.”

Thank you for understanding and thank you for standing guard with us as we continue to press forward for the glory of Jesus Christ.
